6.5 Save the Model

Now that the model is complete, it is a good time to save your work. TreeAge Pro models are saved as documents, just as you would for Microsoft Excel or many other applications. You save and open models just as you would any other documents. We recommend you save your models in a folder on your computer or network which is backed up regularly.

The extension for TreeAge Pro models is .trex.

To save a TreeAge Pro model:

• Choose File > Save.

  Select the "save" icon (floppy disc) on the tool bar.

• In the Save As dialog:

  • Choose the folder where you wish to save the model.

  • Enter the model file name.

  • Click Save.

You can re-open, edit and save the tree any time by using the File menu.
