46. Connecting TreeAge and Excel
TreeAge Pro has the ability to communicate with Excel. The major features which are useful are:
-
Edit model inputs (variables, trackers, distributions and tables) in Excel.
-
Create a Tree Workbook to output the model inputs to Excel.
-
Output reports and graphs to Excel.
-
Access models programmatically through the Object Interface.
Each of these features are described within this section.
In addition, there are some other methods of connecting your models with Excel. These include:
-
Dynamic bi-directional links with Excel are supported by TreeAge Pro (Linking a model to Excel - Bilinks)
-
Export pre-run model scenarios to Excel (Export Model Scenarios to Excel).
-
Converting Markov Cohort models to Excel (Markov to Excel).
Note that Excel's presentation of add-in options changes with each new version of Excel. Excel for Mac also presents add-ins differently. Despite the presentation differences, the functions should work the same way.
